Yael Stein was born in Australian and lives in New York City since 2013 was the character Lorna Morrello in Orange Is the New Black. Yael has a diploma from NIDA. Yael's first job has given her to meet and work with some of Australia's best storytellers. Yael's work is well-known throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's journey to New York City began when her show was critically-acclaimed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael was co-founder of The Cannery. Working from a studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn, the business supports the development of new writing as well as imaginative, inventive ventures.
